[Thoughts] The Nintendo Switch Online App Should Have Direct Messages

There have been many times that I wished this was a feature of the app source:  www.nintendo.com At the moment the Nintendo Switch Online app really needs an upgrade. Nintendo want you to use this to communicate with friends you make on switch, but they made it very hard to do so. The only form of chat you can do is a voice chat, which is something not everyone is comfortable with. This is especially the case when it's the first real interaction you will have with the other person. What's even worse is the voice chat thing is limited to specific games. Reports have also been made on how bad the chat is with it constantly dropping in and out. This makes this only way of communication pretty useless. If the Nintendo Switch Online app had some type of direct message system, something akin to discord, then this issue could be solved instantly. To make it safe, they could make it so image attachment options are not available. As well as this, the option to receive messages should be...

[News] Latest Splatfest Announced!

Nintendo has just revealed August's splatfest theme source:  twitter.com/NintendoUK Over on twitter, Nintendo has just posted the details of the next splatfest for Splatoon 3. This time it is all about what you value most. The three options being, money (Shiver), fame (Frye) or love (Big man). The splatfest will be available from Saturday the 12th of August @ 1 am until Monday the 14th of August @ 1 am .  I am really not sure if there is a favourite here, it could go any way in terms of voting. Well, I say any way, but let's be real no one is going to pick fame really, apart from Frye supporters. We will see nearer the time when polls have come out which is the favourite out of money and love.  That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[News] Nintendo Switch Online Gameboy App Gets An Update!

Two games have been added to it's  line-up source:  www.youtube.com/@NintendoUK As of today owners of Nintendo Switch online can access two new additions on the Gameboy app. The two games are The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. These games released as a duo of games, kind of like how Pokémon games are. However, unlike Pokémon, this duo of games have a lot more different between versions. In fact, they are very different with different locations and stories. The most important thing to know is that, seasons is more focused on action while ages is more focused on puzzles. As well as this, seasons main mechanic is changing the season, while ages main mechanic is time travel. These two are the games I have personally been waiting for to be added to the Gameboy app. I haven't played ages yet and never finished seasons, so this will be a great time for me to fully e...

[Thoughts] Why I Buy Physical Games

There are many reasons why I always buy physical, at least, when I can source:  www.backloggd.com [ Introduction ] As time has gone on, it has become more clear that companies are starting to lose interest in having physical copies of games. I wouldn't say it's at a level where it's an issue yet, but five years from now I don't think I could say the same. Physical games are most obviously good for video game preservation. Though, today I will be sharing some of my own reasons why I buy physical games. ~ Cost ~ I am really not sure why but most of the time games are just straight up the same price or even cheaper if you buy physical copies. You would think because the game has to be manufactured they would need to increase the price in comparison to the digital version but this is not the case. As it stands, the standard launch price for a big Nintendo title for example is £50, but on many sites you can find those game...

[Review] God of War: Ragnarök

A truly godly experience, with barely any marks to show for the war of the game source:  www.playstation.com ~ Intro ~ God of War Ragnarök is the sequel to 2018's God of War. It is a 3rd person action game, made by Santa Monica. It was released on November 9th 2022 for PS4 and PS5. As I have become a God of War fan, I decided to pick this game up very soon after I played the first in this  duology. This allowed me to have the previous game fresh in my memory and compare them more easily. After spending a lot of time with the game I have now solidified my opinion on it. ~ Positives ~ The positives of this game are much like the first. Though there are also a few more things that this game does the other didn't. As well as this, it builds on the strengths of the previous game. To start with the narrative is really well written. As the story went on, I constantly found myself wanting to find out what ...
