  Nintendo have just announced Januarys Splatfest theme!  source:  twitter.com/NintendoUK Over on twitter, Nintendo has just posted the details of the next splatfest for Splatoon 3. This time it is a special Holiday Splatfest titled "Frosty Fest". This one is about who you spend your holiday with. The three options being, friends (Shiver), family (Frye) or solo (Big man). This splatfest will be available from Saturday the 13th of January @ 12 pm until Monday the 15th of January @ 12 am.  This Splatfest, with it being a special one, has a few extra things to it as well. This includes, both Inkopolis and Splatsville being spookily decorated, Deep cut and the Squid Sisters having special outfits and special Holiday themed gear being made available for players to wear. No details have been given on when these new gear pieces will be available yet though. Frieren: Beyond Journey's End is getting some cool merch! source:  twitter.com/GoodSmile_US Over on Twitter, GoodSmile have just informed us that new nendoroids are coming featuring characters from the Frieren: Beyond Journey's End anime. This wave will add Frieren herself and Fern. You can currently pre order these on the GoodSmile store and you have from now until February 15th to do so.  These Figures will be Releasing in July 2024. Both figures are actually not the same price though, Frieren is slightly more expensive at around £36. Whereas, Fern is around £33, not too big a difference and I suppose it makes sense with Frieren being the main character. Something to note is that, buying these online at GoodSmile also nets you an additional item, the item is different for both characters. This event had been leaked and people were wondering when it would be made accessible source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on Twitter, Nintendo have just announced that Pokémon Scarlet/Violet will be getting an update. This is for owners of the hidden treasure of area zero DLC, so if you don't have that you will not be able to play the event in the update. This event is an epilogue story for the DLC. You can find footage of it already online, so if you want to see what it entails go ahead. Though for those who want some basic info, the epilogue story is around 1 hour in length and nets you a special mythical Pokémon. This update will be coming on the 11th of January @ 2pm so not too long from now. When I first glanced at the twitter post I saw that it said free update. This without properly reading the rest of the tweet can mislead you. It is free but for people who already paid for the DLC, so really it isn't free. F-Zero gets some more content in the form of an event source:  twitter.com/NintendoUK Over on Twitter, Nintendo have just announced that a new event has begun in F-Zero 99. What this event does is change the knight league to the frozen knight league. The frozen knight league has the standard tracks, however, they have all been frozen over. Players will now experience these tracks in a different way thanks to the ice. Players can earn 4 seasonal items when playing in this new event to keep forever. The event will run from now until the 17th of January, so, if you want the rewards, make sure to play some games before it ends.   This is a nice little event for the holiday. I personally lost interest in the game not too long after it's release but for those still playing this will be a nice gift for them. F-Zero 99 is getting way more updates and events than I thought it would, with a seasonal event like this we may see more in the future like a Halloween event and such, who knows. Tha

Sonic Team is getting festive with this one source:  twitter.com/sonic_hedgehog Over on Twitter, Sonic The Hedgehog's official account has just let us know that there will be some Free DLC coming to Sonic Superstars. The DLC is a Santa costume for Sonic as seen in the image above. Players can claim this from today, so if you have Sonic Superstars go ahead and get the free holiday DLC. Sonic Frontiers received this type of update last year so it's not too much of a surprise. This costume also seems to be the same costume as the one Sonic had in Frontiers. More games are here for Switch Online Expansion pass members  source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on Twitter, Nintendo have just made a post about three games that will be coming to Nintendo Switch Online. These games are all N64 games, so this does mean that you will need the expansion pass tier subscription to play it. One had been previously mentioned being Jet Force Gemini, however, two others being Harvest Moon 64 and 1080 snowboarding are also in this wave. These games are now Live on the Nintendo 64 app for you to enjoy. These games are all quite different, Jet Force Gemini being a shooter, Harvest Moon 64 being a sim game and 1080 Snowboarding being a sports game. There seems to be something here for many people. If you are a fan of any of these genres them be sure to give the games a go, if you can that is. This trailer gives us a final tease before the release of Pokémon Scarlet/Voilet's second wave of dlc source:  www.youtube.com/@NintendoUK Over on YouTube, Nintendo have just uploaded a new trailer showcasing this dlc. Pokémon's Twitter had previously told us this trailer was coming today so it wasn't a surprise. This trailer is around 4 minutes long and you can view it  here . As a reminder this dlc will be coming out next week (December 14th), so if you are getting it or have got it, make sure to get ready for the supposed challenges ahead. As for new information, we don't really see that much new stuff in the trailer. It's good though because some games reveal too much before release. The most interesting thing shown was a new mini game. This is a mini game were it seems you control a Pokémon by itself. This reminded me of PokePark on the Wii. Defend Splatsville as another Big Run event is underway in Splatoon 3 source :  twitter.com/NintendoUK The latest Big Run event is now upon us. This time the Salmonids have invaded Barnacle & Dime. This invasion will take place from today, the  2nd of December @ 12am, till the 4th of December @ 12am . The reward this time is a trophy of a golden egg. As usual there is a green trophy for participation with the chance to earn a bronze, silver or gold one too depending on your score. The amount you need to get gold is actually known this time and is a set value, that being, 135. It should also be noted that, Big Run is a good way to earn scales to spend in the shop, as you will be receiving double the amount of scales during this event.
