[News] Pokémon Scarlet/Violet's DLC Will Be Getting A New Content Update


This event had been leaked and people were wondering when it would be made accessible

Over on Twitter, Nintendo have just announced that Pokémon Scarlet/Violet will be getting an update. This is for owners of the hidden treasure of area zero DLC, so if you don't have that you will not be able to play the event in the update. This event is an epilogue story for the DLC. You can find footage of it already online, so if you want to see what it entails go ahead. Though for those who want some basic info, the epilogue story is around 1 hour in length and nets you a special mythical Pokémon. This update will be coming on the 11th of January @ 2pm so not too long from now.

When I first glanced at the twitter post I saw that it said free update. This without properly reading the rest of the tweet can mislead you. It is free but for people who already paid for the DLC, so really it isn't free. I would have probably checked it out myself if it was actually free but I have no interest still in buying the DLC.

[Thoughts] Will Tears of the Kingdom have DLC?

  DLC for Tears of the kingdom could happen but I don't think it's likely Source: Author's edit I want to start off by saying I do not think this game needs DLC at all, though it would be welcome. Breath of the Wild had an expansion pass with 3 waves of content. Looking at the contents of that could give us an idea about what a Tears of the Kingdom expansion pass could look like. The first wave (Expansion pass purchase bonus) was available at the games launch and included the following: - 3 new treasure chests This was a very small wave featuring 3 chests of goodies. The biggest thing from this was a Nintendo Switch shirt link could wear. It was a nice little extra to start the game off with but definitely not the defining content of the pass.
