[News] Xenoblade Chronicles 3 DLC Wave 4 Is Coming Surprisingly Soon!

Last night Nintendo dropped a trailer for Xenoblade Chronicles 3. The trailer showcases wave 4 for the expansion pass

This trailer gives us a taste of what we can expect to see in the DLC story expansion called Future Redeemed. Along with cast of new characters there are some familiar faces that Xenoblade series veterans will recognise. Future redeemed seems to be a prequel to the events of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Just like the Story DLC Torna the golden country was for Xenoblade Chronicles 2. From the trailer there are many questions I have about what is happening in the story and I am very interested to see where it goes.

Artwork of the main characters in this story DLC expansion can be found on twitter from the user @XenobladeJP. Here is the artwork for one of the main characters, Matthew.

As well as this, a relationship chart has been made to showcase the relationships between the characters of this story DLC. However, this is currently only in Japanese. It can be seen below.

During the trailer we also got to see some gameplay. In particular we saw some in combat gameplay. The combat looked similar to Xenoblade Chronicles 3 but there are some differences you can notice. The main difference you can notice is that there doesn't seem to be an interlink command, with it being replaced with something else. The thing that replaces it could possibly be a duo attack meter, as we see something like a duo attack later on in the trailer. These are likely to be very strong attacks and you can see they have secondary effects such as one of them causing the burst reaction on the enemy. There are two, what I assume, charges next to this duo attack meter as well. These remind me of the charges for stored uses of the special attack in the challenge mode gauntlet. So, I would assume, that is what they are.

Near the beginning of the trailer you could hear some funky music. This is one of the new battle themes for the Story DLC. This battle theme has been uploaded by Nintendo themselves. New Battle!!! is the name of the track.

You can find that here:

This trailer has got me very excited for this DLC and thankfully we don't have to wait long as it will launch in just a weeks time on April 26th in the UK (April 25th in the US).

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[Thoughts] Will Tears of the Kingdom have DLC?

DLC for Tears of the kingdom could happen but I don't think it's likely Source: Author's edit I want to start off by saying I do not think this game needs DLC at all, though it would be welcome. Breath of the Wild had an expansion pass with 3 waves of content. Looking at the contents of that could give us an idea about what a Tears of the Kingdom expansion pass could look like. The first wave (Expansion pass purchase bonus) was available at the games launch and included the following: - 3 new treasure chests This was a very small wave featuring 3 chests of goodies. The biggest thing from this was a Nintendo Switch shirt link could wear. It was a nice little extra to start the game off with but definitely not the defining content of the pass. Moving on, The second wave (DLC pack 1) offered a lot more in terms of content, with it offering these following things: - Trail of the Sword - Master mode - Heroes path mode.  This wave offered many things to test the players skill...

[Thoughts] Post Game Content Is Awesome!

Post game content is something I greatly  appreciate in games ~Intro ~ Many games over the years have included post game content, it's a way to give more content to players who really enjoyed their time with the main game and were left wanting a little more. Sometimes it is in the form of a few bonus missions, while other times epilogue stories can happen. I will now give some examples of good post game content and discuss what makes them good. ~Dark  Chronicle~ The post game for this game is quite big. After the main story you follow the main character on another small adventure to a place called the Zelmite Mine. This mysterious mine is huge, forming the biggest dungeon in the game by quite a bit. This Dungeon even has multiple mini bosses, one of which being fairly important to the narrative. While the dungeon does require a little bit of grinding to be able to get through it, it isn't too bad and I never found myself having...
