[News] The Legend of Zelda X Splatoon 3 collab is on now!

Don't miss this special Splatoon 3 collab event!

Nintendo decided to make a collab event for Zelda in Splatoon 3 to promote the newest game in the series, Tears of the Kingdom. It isn't a Tears of the Kingdom specific splatfest but it's intention is the same. The three teams are Power (red), Wisdom (blue) and courage (green) which represent the three pieces of the tri-force as well as Ganondorf, Zelda and Link. Splatoon 3 has had collab events before such as the one for Pokemon Scarlet/Violet, however, this one is the most interesting one yet. This fest will include a completely unique stage. This stage is a modification of Scourge Gorge which is a standard Splatoon 3 stage. Below you can see this modified stage.

As you can see the stage is in the shape of a Tri-force which is such a cool design choice. Each team will be starting at one of the three corners of the map. The two attacking teams have slightly less space to work with then the defending team as you can see structures put in place on the attacking sides. This helps make the stage more fair without altering the tri-force shape. I will say, the stage looks really small, which could be an issue, but just the fact we finally have a unique stage for a splatfest I am more than fine with that. They can learn from this stage and refine ideas for the next time if it does turn out to be a little biased for certain weapons.

Splatfests have been very enjoyable in Splatoon 3 thanks to the new tri-colour mode but it was lacking a little bit in the unique feel of the event. Previously tri-colour stages had just been a slightly edited version of an existing stage, whereas this is a complete over hall. I hope they continue to do this for future splatfests, but if it is just for collab events I also understand that. This event will run from the 6th at 1am till the 8th at 1am, with the new map appearing at the mid point, so get joining in on the fun!

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[Thoughts] Will Tears of the Kingdom have DLC?

DLC for Tears of the kingdom could happen but I don't think it's likely Source: Author's edit I want to start off by saying I do not think this game needs DLC at all, though it would be welcome. Breath of the Wild had an expansion pass with 3 waves of content. Looking at the contents of that could give us an idea about what a Tears of the Kingdom expansion pass could look like. The first wave (Expansion pass purchase bonus) was available at the games launch and included the following: - 3 new treasure chests This was a very small wave featuring 3 chests of goodies. The biggest thing from this was a Nintendo Switch shirt link could wear. It was a nice little extra to start the game off with but definitely not the defining content of the pass. Moving on, The second wave (DLC pack 1) offered a lot more in terms of content, with it offering these following things: - Trail of the Sword - Master mode - Heroes path mode.  This wave offered many things to test the players skill...

Fully Charged: Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Mario Kart World

Start of a new series! Fully Charged is a series in which I go over games I have recently played. Each instalment will release when I have played 2-4 games, updates or demos. With less time for this blog now, I won't be doing many, if any, full reviews. This series will instead cover the games I have played critically, in a mini-review format. Mario Kart World https://store.nintendo.co.uk This is the game everyone has been playing recently if they got a Switch 2. I want to start off by saying I quite like this game, it feels quite different from 8 in a good way. One of the biggest things I like about the games feel, is the control. Vehicles in this game do not feel as stiff. How could I not mention the wall driving and rail grinding too, those add a lot more depth to tracks and are very fun to do. The new knockout tour is a great addition to the series, I find myself playing these just as much as grand prix's. Free roam is quite fun, there are some cool challenges to do within ...

[Thoughts] Post Game Content Is Awesome!

Post game content is something I greatly  appreciate in games ~Intro ~ Many games over the years have included post game content, it's a way to give more content to players who really enjoyed their time with the main game and were left wanting a little more. Sometimes it is in the form of a few bonus missions, while other times epilogue stories can happen. I will now give some examples of good post game content and discuss what makes them good. ~Dark  Chronicle~ The post game for this game is quite big. After the main story you follow the main character on another small adventure to a place called the Zelmite Mine. This mysterious mine is huge, forming the biggest dungeon in the game by quite a bit. This Dungeon even has multiple mini bosses, one of which being fairly important to the narrative. While the dungeon does require a little bit of grinding to be able to get through it, it isn't too bad and I never found myself having...
