[News] Nintendo Live gets more information!

More information has been announced, so lets go over all we know

This event will be an in person event held in Seattle, Washington from the 1st of September till the 4th of September. Tickets will be free and registration starts May 31st. There is going to be a wide variety of activities and things available for attendees when they are in the center. let's go over what you can do there.

Firstly, games will be made available to play, I assume many kiosks will be set up with a variety of recent releases and possibly some upcoming new games they want to show off. The site mentions playing with others so some kiosks may support 2 players or more as well.

A live show is another thing that will be there. The website states you will see performances, competitions and more on this live show. We can safely assume there will be some type of Splatoon and maybe animal crossing concert held on this stage, due to previous events. The competitions it is referring to, are probably the tourneys they will host at the show. Speaking of which, they will be hosting a Splatoon 3 tournament and a Mario kart 8 tournament at this event. The qualifiers for these are being held at earlier times, the image below shows those times.

lastly, they will be hosting photo ops and have merchandise available for attendees. The photo ops will be with "sculptures". It is unknown which games these will be for. As for the merchandise, the site states there will be exclusives there. These will probably be things such as lanyards and pins. Other standard merch will also be available too.

The event will be a great one for sure, I will not be going sadly as I do not live over in the states. I will be watching as much as I can online though for sure.

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[News] New "Hype trailer" for Summer Game Fest goes live

Summer Game Fest gets new video source : twitter.com/summergamefest Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley will be live this Thursday, June 8th as announced a few days ago. The event will be streamed everywhere @  3pm ET / Noon PT / 9pm CEST.  Currently, other than a showing for the recently revealed Mortal Kombat remake, there are no details as to what to expect from the show. However, in a follow up tweet to the video post, Geoff states we will find out soon. In that same reply he also says what you see in the video is not indicative of what we will or won't see. So it serves as just a little mind refresher for some of the new games this year. Link to the video can be found here  SGF video I will be watching this event, but I will have my expectations set very low. Previous summer game fests have not been that interesting so I expect this one to follow suit. Though, with E3 not being a thing anymore offici...

[News] Another game comes to Nintendo Switch Online!

Another game is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members   source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has announced that  another game is coming to Nintendo Switch Online. This includes 1 GBA game. The GBA game included in this update is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. The GBA app does require the expansion pass tier so if you have it you can enjoy this game. This game will be available from August 9th. For more information on the game click this link: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team I haven't played Red Rescue Team, but I have played Blue Rescue Team and loved it. They are essentially the same game just Blue Rescue Team was on the DS. Both aren't coming together as we sadly don't have a DS app. I hope people who have the expansion take the time to try this, as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, while a bit repetitive in gameplay, bring a lot more interesting narratives than mainline Pokemon games.   That's it f...

Fully Charged: Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Mario Kart World

Start of a new series! Fully Charged is a series in which I go over games I have recently played. Each instalment will release when I have played 2-4 games, updates or demos. With less time for this blog now, I won't be doing many, if any, full reviews. This series will instead cover the games I have played critically, in a mini-review format. Mario Kart World https://store.nintendo.co.uk This is the game everyone has been playing recently if they got a Switch 2. I want to start off by saying I quite like this game, it feels quite different from 8 in a good way. One of the biggest things I like about the games feel, is the control. Vehicles in this game do not feel as stiff. How could I not mention the wall driving and rail grinding too, those add a lot more depth to tracks and are very fun to do. The new knockout tour is a great addition to the series, I find myself playing these just as much as grand prix's. Free roam is quite fun, there are some cool challenges to do within ...
