[News] Super Mario Oreos Announced!

Not sure who asked for this but it's happening

source: www.oreo.com/supermario

Nintendo has just announced on Twitter that they will be teaming up with Oreo to bring limited edition Mario Oreo's to the people. There will be 16 different designs featuring all of the main protagonists from the Mario series as well as other things like coins and mushrooms. These Oreos will also come in a specific packaging featuring Mario art. You can expect to see these cookies available online and in stores from the 10th of July. You can currently pre order them on the Oreo site too for $4.99 each. On the collab page, it also states that you can use the cookies to complete a challenge and defeat bowser, though I am not sure at all what this means.

While this is a nice little cross over, it's not very high effort. I feel there should have been a new flavour or at least some different flavours representing different characters. The art on the cookie is nice but it's something you will eat at the end of the day so that doesn't really matter at all. The art of the packaging is also featuring standard renders of the characters, it would have been nice to have something unique for the art. I definitely won't be bothering with these myself as I don't even like oreos much anyways.

If you do want to get these for some reason or just want to see the art on the cookies you can go here.

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[News] New "Hype trailer" for Summer Game Fest goes live

Summer Game Fest gets new video source : twitter.com/summergamefest Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley will be live this Thursday, June 8th as announced a few days ago. The event will be streamed everywhere @  3pm ET / Noon PT / 9pm CEST.  Currently, other than a showing for the recently revealed Mortal Kombat remake, there are no details as to what to expect from the show. However, in a follow up tweet to the video post, Geoff states we will find out soon. In that same reply he also says what you see in the video is not indicative of what we will or won't see. So it serves as just a little mind refresher for some of the new games this year. Link to the video can be found here  SGF video I will be watching this event, but I will have my expectations set very low. Previous summer game fests have not been that interesting so I expect this one to follow suit. Though, with E3 not being a thing anymore offici...

[News] Another game comes to Nintendo Switch Online!

Another game is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members   source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has announced that  another game is coming to Nintendo Switch Online. This includes 1 GBA game. The GBA game included in this update is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. The GBA app does require the expansion pass tier so if you have it you can enjoy this game. This game will be available from August 9th. For more information on the game click this link: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team I haven't played Red Rescue Team, but I have played Blue Rescue Team and loved it. They are essentially the same game just Blue Rescue Team was on the DS. Both aren't coming together as we sadly don't have a DS app. I hope people who have the expansion take the time to try this, as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, while a bit repetitive in gameplay, bring a lot more interesting narratives than mainline Pokemon games.   That's it f...

Fully Charged: Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Mario Kart World

Start of a new series! Fully Charged is a series in which I go over games I have recently played. Each instalment will release when I have played 2-4 games, updates or demos. With less time for this blog now, I won't be doing many, if any, full reviews. This series will instead cover the games I have played critically, in a mini-review format. Mario Kart World https://store.nintendo.co.uk This is the game everyone has been playing recently if they got a Switch 2. I want to start off by saying I quite like this game, it feels quite different from 8 in a good way. One of the biggest things I like about the games feel, is the control. Vehicles in this game do not feel as stiff. How could I not mention the wall driving and rail grinding too, those add a lot more depth to tracks and are very fun to do. The new knockout tour is a great addition to the series, I find myself playing these just as much as grand prix's. Free roam is quite fun, there are some cool challenges to do within ...
