[News] Sonic Superstars Animated Prologue Available To Watch!

Sonic's official YouTube channel has just dropped the prologue animation for sonic superstars
source: www.youtube.com/@SonictheHedgehog

Yesterday on Twitter, Sonic The Hedgehog teased that they would be dropping the special prologue animation for Sonic Superstars the following day. The prologue animation has just dropped now on YouTube, for your viewing pleasure. The animation itself is 5 minutes long. You can watch it here.

In this, we see all playable characters as well as the three main antagonists of the game. The good guys being heavily featured in the first half, while the bad guys heavily featured in the second half. There were a few cool moments in this and the animation was well done as always. The new villain character, Trip,  seems to not be all bad, as they are seen to have a liking for nature. It will be interesting to see how this trait influences Trip's decisions in the game. Eggman, during this animation, sees a mural with what seems to be more characters like Trip on it. It seems like Trip will be a big part of the games narrative in general, which makes sense.

These little animations Sonic Team have been making for their games are really charming and are a great way to get a little back ground info for the game before launch. I don't think this one beats the Sonic Frontiers prologue but I still like it quite a bit.

Sonic Superstars is less than a month away now, releasing on October 17th. I continue to look forward to this game and am eager to see how it turns out.

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[News] New "Hype trailer" for Summer Game Fest goes live

Summer Game Fest gets new video source : twitter.com/summergamefest Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley will be live this Thursday, June 8th as announced a few days ago. The event will be streamed everywhere @  3pm ET / Noon PT / 9pm CEST.  Currently, other than a showing for the recently revealed Mortal Kombat remake, there are no details as to what to expect from the show. However, in a follow up tweet to the video post, Geoff states we will find out soon. In that same reply he also says what you see in the video is not indicative of what we will or won't see. So it serves as just a little mind refresher for some of the new games this year. Link to the video can be found here  SGF video I will be watching this event, but I will have my expectations set very low. Previous summer game fests have not been that interesting so I expect this one to follow suit. Though, with E3 not being a thing anymore offici...

[News] Another game comes to Nintendo Switch Online!

Another game is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members   source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has announced that  another game is coming to Nintendo Switch Online. This includes 1 GBA game. The GBA game included in this update is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. The GBA app does require the expansion pass tier so if you have it you can enjoy this game. This game will be available from August 9th. For more information on the game click this link: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team I haven't played Red Rescue Team, but I have played Blue Rescue Team and loved it. They are essentially the same game just Blue Rescue Team was on the DS. Both aren't coming together as we sadly don't have a DS app. I hope people who have the expansion take the time to try this, as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, while a bit repetitive in gameplay, bring a lot more interesting narratives than mainline Pokemon games.   That's it f...

Fully Charged: Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Mario Kart World

Start of a new series! Fully Charged is a series in which I go over games I have recently played. Each instalment will release when I have played 2-4 games, updates or demos. With less time for this blog now, I won't be doing many, if any, full reviews. This series will instead cover the games I have played critically, in a mini-review format. Mario Kart World https://store.nintendo.co.uk This is the game everyone has been playing recently if they got a Switch 2. I want to start off by saying I quite like this game, it feels quite different from 8 in a good way. One of the biggest things I like about the games feel, is the control. Vehicles in this game do not feel as stiff. How could I not mention the wall driving and rail grinding too, those add a lot more depth to tracks and are very fun to do. The new knockout tour is a great addition to the series, I find myself playing these just as much as grand prix's. Free roam is quite fun, there are some cool challenges to do within ...
