[News] Sony Announces A State Of Play!

Sony have just announced a new showcase

source: twitter.com/PlayStation

Over on Twitter, PlayStation have just announced a new state of play is coming tomorrow, September 14th. This state of play starts @ 10pm BST, with no word on how long it is. Sony have said we can expect to see indie and third party titles that come from around the world.

With first party out of the picture there are a few games I have in mind for what will be shown. Alan Wake and Alone in the Dark are coming very soon so will most likely be featured. Avatar may get some more shown of it too since that is coming in December. The rumoured Resident Evil 4 dlc and the Cyberpunk dlc could be what we see in terms of additional content to current games. There are a few other games such as the Metal Gear Solid 3 and Silent Hill 2 remakes that could have a chance of appearing, but it's not too likely.

What I personally would like from this is a release date for Stellar Blade, though that most likely won't happen due to it being technically a first party game. Some gameplay of Silent Hill 2 would be nice too as we have seen next to nothing. Lastly, some type of tease for Scarlet Nexus 2 would be cool, if that is even going to be a thing. It would be cool if any of those were to happen. I will say though, I was kind of hoping the next state of play would feature first party games, as it would have been great to see some more upcoming first party stuff for after Spider-Man 2. Hopefully, there will be some cool stuff for most people in this state of play.

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[News] New "Hype trailer" for Summer Game Fest goes live

Summer Game Fest gets new video source : twitter.com/summergamefest Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley will be live this Thursday, June 8th as announced a few days ago. The event will be streamed everywhere @  3pm ET / Noon PT / 9pm CEST.  Currently, other than a showing for the recently revealed Mortal Kombat remake, there are no details as to what to expect from the show. However, in a follow up tweet to the video post, Geoff states we will find out soon. In that same reply he also says what you see in the video is not indicative of what we will or won't see. So it serves as just a little mind refresher for some of the new games this year. Link to the video can be found here  SGF video I will be watching this event, but I will have my expectations set very low. Previous summer game fests have not been that interesting so I expect this one to follow suit. Though, with E3 not being a thing anymore offici...

[News] Another game comes to Nintendo Switch Online!

Another game is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members   source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has announced that  another game is coming to Nintendo Switch Online. This includes 1 GBA game. The GBA game included in this update is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. The GBA app does require the expansion pass tier so if you have it you can enjoy this game. This game will be available from August 9th. For more information on the game click this link: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team I haven't played Red Rescue Team, but I have played Blue Rescue Team and loved it. They are essentially the same game just Blue Rescue Team was on the DS. Both aren't coming together as we sadly don't have a DS app. I hope people who have the expansion take the time to try this, as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, while a bit repetitive in gameplay, bring a lot more interesting narratives than mainline Pokemon games.   That's it f...

Fully Charged: Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Mario Kart World

Start of a new series! Fully Charged is a series in which I go over games I have recently played. Each instalment will release when I have played 2-4 games, updates or demos. With less time for this blog now, I won't be doing many, if any, full reviews. This series will instead cover the games I have played critically, in a mini-review format. Mario Kart World https://store.nintendo.co.uk This is the game everyone has been playing recently if they got a Switch 2. I want to start off by saying I quite like this game, it feels quite different from 8 in a good way. One of the biggest things I like about the games feel, is the control. Vehicles in this game do not feel as stiff. How could I not mention the wall driving and rail grinding too, those add a lot more depth to tracks and are very fun to do. The new knockout tour is a great addition to the series, I find myself playing these just as much as grand prix's. Free roam is quite fun, there are some cool challenges to do within ...
