[Thoughts] Could We See DLC Or A Companion Game For God Of War: Ragnarök?

Let's think about what could come next from the God Of War team

source: manualdosgames.com

It has been quite frequently mentioned on X recently that Santa Monica are currently developing something tied to God Of War. There has also been very strong leads such as Santa Monica hiring combat designers specially with knowledge of the recent God Of War games. God Of War: Ragnarök came out last November, so maybe a year later (this November) could be when we see what the developers have been cooking up. I am personally not 100% sold, but have some ideas were it could go if true, I will go into these below.

~ Standard Expansion DLC ~

This would be similar to Horizon forbidden west. Like Horizon Forbidden West, the dlc would add directly to the God of War: Ragnarök game. We could see the addition of a new area to the game and an accompanying story. This new area could be something to do with were Atreus goes at the end of the game. This would probably offer around 5-10 hours of gameplay and be around the same price as the Horizon Forbidden west dlc (£16).

~ Companion Game ~

This way would be similar to Spider Man Miles Morales. Miles Morales added to the narrative of Spider Man but was also it's own game. Spider Man Miles Morales was around half the length of Spider man. This means that if they were to go this route we could see a 10-15 hour adventure. I again think it would cover Atreus and were he goes at the end of the game. The price for this would probably be the same as what Miles Morales was at around £40-50.

~ Conclusion ~

Not matter which way they go for, I really think it will be focused around Atreus and possibly answer some final questions players have with the narrative. Having Atreus be the sole star of the dlc or a separate brother game will perfectly set him up to be the star of his own full length game. I really hope these rumours are true because I would absolutely love more content with these characters and world.

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[Thoughts] Will Tears of the Kingdom have DLC?

DLC for Tears of the kingdom could happen but I don't think it's likely Source: Author's edit I want to start off by saying I do not think this game needs DLC at all, though it would be welcome. Breath of the Wild had an expansion pass with 3 waves of content. Looking at the contents of that could give us an idea about what a Tears of the Kingdom expansion pass could look like. The first wave (Expansion pass purchase bonus) was available at the games launch and included the following: - 3 new treasure chests This was a very small wave featuring 3 chests of goodies. The biggest thing from this was a Nintendo Switch shirt link could wear. It was a nice little extra to start the game off with but definitely not the defining content of the pass. Moving on, The second wave (DLC pack 1) offered a lot more in terms of content, with it offering these following things: - Trail of the Sword - Master mode - Heroes path mode.  This wave offered many things to test the players skill...

[Thoughts] Nintendo Direct 14/09/23

A generally bland direct with a few bursts of flavour source:  www.youtube.com/@NintendoUK This direct provided updates for many upcoming games, while also giving us more information about games that are coming early next year. Other news, not about games, was present too. [Thoughts] Post Game Content Is Awesome!

Post game content is something I greatly  appreciate in games ~Intro ~ Many games over the years have included post game content, it's a way to give more content to players who really enjoyed their time with the main game and were left wanting a little more. Sometimes it is in the form of a few bonus missions, while other times epilogue stories can happen. I will now give some examples of good post game content and discuss what makes them good. ~Dark  Chronicle~ The post game for this game is quite big. After the main story you follow the main character on another small adventure to a place called the Zelmite Mine. This mysterious mine is huge, forming the biggest dungeon in the game by quite a bit. This Dungeon even has multiple mini bosses, one of which being fairly important to the narrative. While the dungeon does require a little bit of grinding to be able to get through it, it isn't too bad and I never found myself having...
