[Thoughts] Sonic Superstars Is Sounding Good!

You can now check out several tracks from the game's ost on Sonic's official YouTube channel

In the lead up to the game's release Sonic's official YouTube channel has been dropping tracks from the game's ost. For every sonic game release this always happens as they like to give fans a taste of the music in the upcoming game. Since Sonic music is always usually very good, it's a good marketing strategy to build the hype. So far we have received a single track for Pinball Carnival Zone and three tracks for the Speed Jungle Zone.

From what I have heard I am very happy with the soundtrack so far. What is quite different about this classic style game is that each act has a different composer from what it looks like. This is really nice for diversity because sometimes act 1's and act 2's sounded so similar. Whichever you liked a bit more just made it somewhat pointless to listen to the other. So far, the artists known to be involved with the soundtrack are Rintaro Soma known for Sonic Frontiers, Tee Lopes known for Sonic Mania, Takahiro Kai known for the Yakuza games and finally Hidenori Shoji known for Super Monkey Ball. It really is an all star group of composers.

You can listen to the track for Pinball Carnival Zone here. The three tracks for Speed Jungle are in a mix which you can find here. Give these a listen to before release, your ears won't regret it!

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[News] New "Hype trailer" for Summer Game Fest goes live

Summer Game Fest gets new video source : twitter.com/summergamefest Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley will be live this Thursday, June 8th as announced a few days ago. The event will be streamed everywhere @  3pm ET / Noon PT / 9pm CEST.  Currently, other than a showing for the recently revealed Mortal Kombat remake, there are no details as to what to expect from the show. However, in a follow up tweet to the video post, Geoff states we will find out soon. In that same reply he also says what you see in the video is not indicative of what we will or won't see. So it serves as just a little mind refresher for some of the new games this year. Link to the video can be found here  SGF video I will be watching this event, but I will have my expectations set very low. Previous summer game fests have not been that interesting so I expect this one to follow suit. Though, with E3 not being a thing anymore offici...

[News] Another game comes to Nintendo Switch Online!

Another game is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members   source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has announced that  another game is coming to Nintendo Switch Online. This includes 1 GBA game. The GBA game included in this update is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. The GBA app does require the expansion pass tier so if you have it you can enjoy this game. This game will be available from August 9th. For more information on the game click this link: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team I haven't played Red Rescue Team, but I have played Blue Rescue Team and loved it. They are essentially the same game just Blue Rescue Team was on the DS. Both aren't coming together as we sadly don't have a DS app. I hope people who have the expansion take the time to try this, as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, while a bit repetitive in gameplay, bring a lot more interesting narratives than mainline Pokemon games.   That's it f...

Fully Charged: Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Mario Kart World

Start of a new series! Fully Charged is a series in which I go over games I have recently played. Each instalment will release when I have played 2-4 games, updates or demos. With less time for this blog now, I won't be doing many, if any, full reviews. This series will instead cover the games I have played critically, in a mini-review format. Mario Kart World https://store.nintendo.co.uk This is the game everyone has been playing recently if they got a Switch 2. I want to start off by saying I quite like this game, it feels quite different from 8 in a good way. One of the biggest things I like about the games feel, is the control. Vehicles in this game do not feel as stiff. How could I not mention the wall driving and rail grinding too, those add a lot more depth to tracks and are very fun to do. The new knockout tour is a great addition to the series, I find myself playing these just as much as grand prix's. Free roam is quite fun, there are some cool challenges to do within ...
