[Thoughts] Mario Kart Deluxe Booster Course Pass Wave 6

Wave 6 of the booster course pass has been out for some time now, so let's talk about it

source: www.nintendo.co.uk

Now that I have played the tracks a few times I will give my full thoughts on this wave. This wave I will outright say is the best wave overall, which is what I expected for the final wave.

My favourite tracks from this wave are Bowser Castle 3 and Wii Rainbow Road. Bowser Castle 3 definitely got a glow up not just for visuals but it's track design. The coolest addition was the fact you can ride on some walls, this is quite tricky to do, but it is rewarding. It overall just feels like such a different, and much better, course. Unsurprisingly the music is great for the stage as well. Wii Rainbow Road was guaranteed to be one of the best in the wave. Some people were worried about if they were going to make it a continuous track rather than looping like the original but we got it exactly as it was from Wii. Since it is 1 to 1 with the original, all the cool parts of the track are still in tact, my favourite part being the half pipe section with two great holes in the middle.

I also want to shout out Piranha Plant Cove and Rosalina's Ice World, I was looking forward to these and I did mostly enjoy both. For Piranha Plant Cove, the drops into the water were fun and made the course more memorable, it was cool seeing such a vast sea in the distance. Though, I will say the other parts of the course were a little on the bland side. Rosalina's ice world is a nice track, the beginning part of it with the super narrow ledge is really exhilarating and I like the split path at the end. Though the rest of the track kind of feels like it was cut from the mould of other icy tracks. DK mountain and Daisy Circuit were pretty decent too, I haven't really ever been the biggest fan of either but they are good additions.

The two tracks I didn't like much this wave were both the tour tracks. While Rome starts fairly strong going into a old coliseum type building, it sadly just falls off from there. Madrid has a cool football section but that's all that is not a snoozefest. I think the problem with these two tracks and pretty much every tour track is you can go on YouTube look at gameplay of one and skip around the video and not know were the player is in in the track. There really just isn't many, if any, memorable moments in these tracks and the ones that do stick out aren't that interesting either.

With all that said I really enjoyed this last wave, on top of the tracks being very solid overall, getting 4 new characters was great. The fact one of them was my long awaited Diddy Kong was nice for me personally. I am very glad I got this expansion pass for sure, it has doubled the content of the game and provided many more hours of fun. I would highly recommend getting this pass to all Mario Kart 8 Deluxe owners. I look forward to whatever is next for Mario Kart.

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

Start of a new series! Fully Charged is a series in which I go over games I have recently played. Each instalment will release when I have played 2-4 games, updates or demos. With less time for this blog now, I won't be doing many, if any, full reviews. This series will instead cover the games I have played critically, in a mini-review format. Mario Kart World https://store.nintendo.co.uk This is the game everyone has been playing recently if they got a Switch 2. I want to start off by saying I quite like this game, it feels quite different from 8 in a good way. One of the biggest things I like about the games feel, is the control. Vehicles in this game do not feel as stiff. How could I not mention the wall driving and rail grinding too, those add a lot more depth to tracks and are very fun to do. The new knockout tour is a great addition to the series, I find myself playing these just as much as grand prix's. Free roam is quite fun, there are some cool challenges to do within ...

[Thoughts] Will Tears of the Kingdom have DLC?

DLC for Tears of the kingdom could happen but I don't think it's likely Source: Author's edit I want to start off by saying I do not think this game needs DLC at all, though it would be welcome. Breath of the Wild had an expansion pass with 3 waves of content. Looking at the contents of that could give us an idea about what a Tears of the Kingdom expansion pass could look like. The first wave (Expansion pass purchase bonus) was available at the games launch and included the following: - 3 new treasure chests This was a very small wave featuring 3 chests of goodies. The biggest thing from this was a Nintendo Switch shirt link could wear. It was a nice little extra to start the game off with but definitely not the defining content of the pass. Moving on, The second wave (DLC pack 1) offered a lot more in terms of content, with it offering these following things: - Trail of the Sword - Master mode - Heroes path mode.  This wave offered many things to test the players skill...
