[News] Overview Trailer For Splatoon 3's Side Order Is Live!

Side Order keeps looking better!

source: www.youtube.com/@NintendoAmerica

Over on YouTube, Nintendo have uploaded a video, which you can view here, giving us pretty much all we need to know about this DLC expansion. It goes into the structure of the DLC and the basics of how the DLC will play out.

The DLC will take place at the Spire of Order and your aim is to reach the top, without failing. Should you fail you get sent straight back to the beginning in classic rogue-like fashion. Each floor will have three challenges the player can choose from ranging in difficulty and rewards. It's important to choose what you think will help you the most through this gauntlet. There seems to be many different types of floors the player can face each having different objectives. One of challenges being reminiscent of the 8-ball challenges from the octo expansion. Through this experience you are not alone though, you will have a companion in the form of Pearl... well a drone version of her at least. This drone can also be upgraded and enhanced adding another layer of customisation to your run.

The trailer also let us know the completion rewards. These will be alternate skins for the different weapons types already in the game as well as the gear the player wears in this expansion. I assume you unlock the clothes from your first clear, whereas the weapons will be unlocked by completing the mode with them. This is assuming you choose one weapon at the start and then you must use it the whole way through.

This trailer has got me super hyped, even more so than I was before for this DLC. Due to the DLC's nature I am not sure how much story we will get through this experience but I am sure there is more we aren't seeing. I also want to shout out the visuals of this DLC it looks so good and I love how the ink looks and the colours they have available in this mode. As a reminder, February 22nd is the day it is going to release worldwide, so make sure to get ready for this challenging experience.

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[News] New "Hype trailer" for Summer Game Fest goes live

Summer Game Fest gets new video source : twitter.com/summergamefest Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley will be live this Thursday, June 8th as announced a few days ago. The event will be streamed everywhere @  3pm ET / Noon PT / 9pm CEST.  Currently, other than a showing for the recently revealed Mortal Kombat remake, there are no details as to what to expect from the show. However, in a follow up tweet to the video post, Geoff states we will find out soon. In that same reply he also says what you see in the video is not indicative of what we will or won't see. So it serves as just a little mind refresher for some of the new games this year. Link to the video can be found here  SGF video I will be watching this event, but I will have my expectations set very low. Previous summer game fests have not been that interesting so I expect this one to follow suit. Though, with E3 not being a thing anymore offici...

[News] Another game comes to Nintendo Switch Online!

Another game is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members   source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has announced that  another game is coming to Nintendo Switch Online. This includes 1 GBA game. The GBA game included in this update is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. The GBA app does require the expansion pass tier so if you have it you can enjoy this game. This game will be available from August 9th. For more information on the game click this link: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team I haven't played Red Rescue Team, but I have played Blue Rescue Team and loved it. They are essentially the same game just Blue Rescue Team was on the DS. Both aren't coming together as we sadly don't have a DS app. I hope people who have the expansion take the time to try this, as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, while a bit repetitive in gameplay, bring a lot more interesting narratives than mainline Pokemon games.   That's it f...

[News] Grand Festival Announced! (Splatoon 3)

Nintendo has just announced the last? Splatfest! source:  x.com/NintendoAUNZ Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has just posted the details of the last? Splatfest for Splatoon 3. It is a very special Splatfest with it being called the "Grand festival". For this, it seems all three idol groups are against each other taking one option each. The question being asked for this is "Which is the most important to you?". The three options are past (Squid Sisters), present (Off the Hook), or future (Deep Cut). The Splatfest will be available for 72 hours rather than the usual 48. It will start  Friday the 13th of September @ 01:00 am until Monday the 16th of September @ 00:59 am .  We don't know much about the fest itself but it's safe to assume it will have all the same things as a special Splatfest and more. In the trailer, we do get to see the three idol groups in special costumes, as well as hear a new collab song between the three idol groups. However, that's pre...
