[News] Splatfest Now On! (Splatoon 3)

Another Splatfest is upon us. This Splatfest, about which food you could eat every day, was first announced on July 17th on X (Twitter). As a reminder, the choices for this Splatfest are, bread (Shiver), rice (Frye) and pasta (Big Man). As usual, this event runs for two full days (Saturday the 10th of August @ 01:00 am until Monday the 12th of August @ 00:59 am), with the tri-color battles starting on the second day.

The tri-color stage this time is Eeltail Alley. We have had this stage as a tri-color map before, however, this time it has additional gushers. With this addition, I think it will be quite a decent map, before it wasn't too great though. We'll see just how much it changes the map in due time.

From looking at polls on X (Twitter) and YouTube, team rice seems to be getting the most votes overall. I do expect this team to win for popularity due to it being such a popular thing in Japan and the player base being largely Japan-based. Though even in the English voting polls, it seems to be winning out as well. I will be picking team rice myself, hopefully, we can get Frye another win too! 

Make sure to use your conch shells before the Splatfest ends and to add an ability to your Splatfest t-shirt as it's cheap to do so and you get your chunks back if you swap it out before the end of the fest. Happy splatting!

[News] Another game comes to Nintendo Switch Online!

Another game is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members   source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has announced that  another game is coming to Nintendo Switch Online. This includes 1 GBA game. The GBA game included in this update is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. The GBA app does require the expansion pass tier so if you have it you can enjoy this game. This game will be available from August 9th. For more information on the game click this link: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team I haven't played Red Rescue Team, but I have played Blue Rescue Team and loved it. They are essentially the same game just Blue Rescue Team was on the DS. Both aren't coming together as we sadly don't have a DS app. I hope people who have the expansion take the time to try this, as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, while a bit repetitive in gameplay, bring a lot more interesting narratives than mainline Pokemon games.   That's it f...

[News] Grand Festival Announced! (Splatoon 3)

Nintendo has just announced the last? Splatfest! source:  x.com/NintendoAUNZ Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has just posted the details of the last? Splatfest for Splatoon 3. It is a very special Splatfest with it being called the "Grand festival". For this, it seems all three idol groups are against each other taking one option each. The question being asked for this is "Which is the most important to you?". The three options are past (Squid Sisters), present (Off the Hook), or future (Deep Cut). The Splatfest will be available for 72 hours rather than the usual 48. It will start  Friday the 13th of September @ 01:00 am until Monday the 16th of September @ 00:59 am .  We don't know much about the fest itself but it's safe to assume it will have all the same things as a special Splatfest and more.
