Time for the biggest Splatfest yet, pick a team and splat it out!

Another Special Splatfest is upon us. This Splatfest, about which time peroid is the most important to you, was first announced on July 19th on X (Twitter). As a reminder, the choices for this Splatfest are, Past (Squid Sisters), Present (Off The Hook) and Future (Deep Cut). This Splatfest will run for 3 whole days not just the standard two (Friday the 13th of September @ 01:00 am until Monday the 16th of September @ 00:59 am). Tri colour battles will start from day one for this Splatfest, with the first 32 hours having stage rotations, the next 16 hours being random stages and then the last 24 hours being the new Grand Fest Bowl stage.

The map layout has not been leaked for this Splatfest, it will probably not be too different from how the map was for the Grand Fest Big Run though. However, there is an offical map for the new hub area for this Splatfest that comes with some cool stuff. There are three different performance stages of which the idols will be rotating different songs on, so take a minute to watch these. While in this area you can strike different poses with the d pad to really get into the festival and if you win a 100/333x battle or get to certian ranks you can go up on stage with the idols too for fresh pictures. Of course, all the standard shops are vistable as well. This hub will be vistable after the fest, though only with the use of a idol amiibo. This includes any squid sisters, off the hook and deep cut amiibos.

From looking at polls on X (Twitter) and YouTube, team present seems to be most popular overall. I really don't know who will win for votes though as many do seem to be voting based on idol too which changes things. The voting for this will most likely influence the next Splatoon game, so it will be interesting to see who wins and at some point later down the line see the result in full force. I'm team present all the way!

Make sure to use your conch shells before the Splatfest ends and to add an ability to your Splatfest t-shirt as it's cheap to do so and you get your chunks back if you swap it out before the end of the fest. Happy splatting!

That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[News] New "Hype trailer" for Summer Game Fest goes live

Summer Game Fest gets new video source : twitter.com/summergamefest Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley will be live this Thursday, June 8th as announced a few days ago. The event will be streamed everywhere @  3pm ET / Noon PT / 9pm CEST.  Currently, other than a showing for the recently revealed Mortal Kombat remake, there are no details as to what to expect from the show. However, in a follow up tweet to the video post, Geoff states we will find out soon. In that same reply he also says what you see in the video is not indicative of what we will or won't see. So it serves as just a little mind refresher for some of the new games this year. Link to the video can be found here  SGF video I will be watching this event, but I will have my expectations set very low. Previous summer game fests have not been that interesting so I expect this one to follow suit. Though, with E3 not being a thing anymore offici...

[News] Another game comes to Nintendo Switch Online!

Another game is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members   source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has announced that  another game is coming to Nintendo Switch Online. This includes 1 GBA game. The GBA game included in this update is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. The GBA app does require the expansion pass tier so if you have it you can enjoy this game. This game will be available from August 9th. For more information on the game click this link: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team I haven't played Red Rescue Team, but I have played Blue Rescue Team and loved it. They are essentially the same game just Blue Rescue Team was on the DS. Both aren't coming together as we sadly don't have a DS app. I hope people who have the expansion take the time to try this, as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, while a bit repetitive in gameplay, bring a lot more interesting narratives than mainline Pokemon games.   That's it f...

Fully Charged: Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Mario Kart World

Start of a new series! Fully Charged is a series in which I go over games I have recently played. Each instalment will release when I have played 2-4 games, updates or demos. With less time for this blog now, I won't be doing many, if any, full reviews. This series will instead cover the games I have played critically, in a mini-review format. Mario Kart World https://store.nintendo.co.uk This is the game everyone has been playing recently if they got a Switch 2. I want to start off by saying I quite like this game, it feels quite different from 8 in a good way. One of the biggest things I like about the games feel, is the control. Vehicles in this game do not feel as stiff. How could I not mention the wall driving and rail grinding too, those add a lot more depth to tracks and are very fun to do. The new knockout tour is a great addition to the series, I find myself playing these just as much as grand prix's. Free roam is quite fun, there are some cool challenges to do within ...
