[Thoughts] The Nintendo 64's Special Editions Were Decent - Coolest Consoles (Part 1)

Let's look at some N64 Special Edition consoles!

source: consolevariations.com

In this series of blogs, I will be covering my favourite versions of each console that I have owned. Now, I most likely don't have any of these myself due to the pricing for them, but I can still see them very well online through photos/videos. However, if I do have one of them, I will make a note of it. Each part of this series will contain a top five for that specific console, this is in order as well from least liked to most liked. Anyway, without further ado, let's start!

5. Nintendo 64 Clear White / Red Console

This console is my fifth favourite. There are two other versions of this console but I think the dark blue goes the best with the yellow. The Pikachu featured on the console doesn’t just look cool, but they also worked its foot to be the reset button which is a nice touch. Another cool touch is that the power button is a Poke ball. The controller isn’t just a colour but features the Pokémon logo on it too.

4. Nintendo 64 Pikachu Dark Blue Console

This console is my fourth favourite. There are actually two other versions of this console but I think the dark blue goes the best with the yellow. The pikachu featured on the console doesn't just look cool but they worked its foot to be the reset button which is a nice touch. Another cool touch is that the power button is a Pokeball. The controller isn't just a colour but features the Pokemon logo on it too.

3. Nintendo 64 Funtastic Grape Purple Console

This console is my third favourite. Sometimes less is more and with this one, I feel that applies. The dark purple colour and see-through case looks really clean. It's not too in your face like some of the other designs can be. The buttons on the controller really pop out well with this one too.

2. Nintendo 64 Daiei Hawks Console

This is my second favourite console design. Orange and black is one of my favourite colour combinations and I think it looks great here. Again, we have the cool see-through case as well here. I'm not sure what collab this console is for but I'm glad it was done.

1. Nintendo 64 Gold Console

This is my absolute favourite version of the Nintendo 64. Many gold editions go wrong by making it an unpleasant gold colour, however this one is more akin to rose gold and looks amazing. This would be the ultimate display piece to have on a shelf. While it may not have much else other than color, it doesn't need to.

That's it for part 1 of this series, for part 2 stay connected!

Fully Charged: Clair Obscur Expedition 33, Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble, Shantae and the Seven Sirens, Mario Kart World

Start of a new series! Fully Charged is a series in which I go over games I have recently played. Each instalment will release when I have played 2-4 games, updates or demos. With less time for this blog now, I won't be doing many, if any, full reviews. This series will instead cover the games I have played critically, in a mini-review format. Mario Kart World https://store.nintendo.co.uk This is the game everyone has been playing recently if they got a Switch 2. I want to start off by saying I quite like this game, it feels quite different from 8 in a good way. One of the biggest things I like about the games feel, is the control. Vehicles in this game do not feel as stiff. How could I not mention the wall driving and rail grinding too, those add a lot more depth to tracks and are very fun to do. The new knockout tour is a great addition to the series, I find myself playing these just as much as grand prix's. Free roam is quite fun, there are some cool challenges to do within ...

[Thoughts] Will Tears of the Kingdom have DLC?

DLC for Tears of the kingdom could happen but I don't think it's likely Source: Author's edit I want to start off by saying I do not think this game needs DLC at all, though it would be welcome. Breath of the Wild had an expansion pass with 3 waves of content. Looking at the contents of that could give us an idea about what a Tears of the Kingdom expansion pass could look like. The first wave (Expansion pass purchase bonus) was available at the games launch and included the following: - 3 new treasure chests This was a very small wave featuring 3 chests of goodies. The biggest thing from this was a Nintendo Switch shirt link could wear. It was a nice little extra to start the game off with but definitely not the defining content of the pass. Moving on, The second wave (DLC pack 1) offered a lot more in terms of content, with it offering these following things: - Trail of the Sword - Master mode - Heroes path mode.  This wave offered many things to test the players skill...
