Another splatfest is upon us. This Special Halloween Splatfest, about what you would rather be in a fantasy world, was announced on October 9th. The choices for this splatfest are, wizard, knight and ninja. As usual, this event runs for two full days (26th @ 1am - 27th @ 11:59am), with the tri colour battles starting on the second day. Just like last time Nintendo have made a lot of cool little changes to for this fest to really make it feel like a Halloween one. From the idols wearing outfits to additional Halloween themed music it really is a spooktastic fest.

The tri-colour stage this time is both Scorch Gorge and Mincemeat Metalworks. These are both stages we have had before but it's cool to not only see the return of the best tri-colour stage (Scorch Gorge) but also have two different maps at the same time. Mincemeat is an okay stage too but I know many will be hoping to come across Scorch Gorge more, myself included.

From looking at polls on Twitter and YouTube, I think it's safe to say wizard is the most popular. Wizard did win the wizard vs knight Splatfest in Splatoon 2 so it wouldn't be surprising for it to win again here despite the third option of ninja. I understand why it's seemingly the most picked though as I think it's the one that's the most interesting choice.

[News] Grand Festival Announced! (Splatoon 3)

Nintendo has just announced the last? Splatfest! source: x.com/NintendoAUNZ Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has just posted the details of the last? Splatfest for Splatoon 3. It is a very special Splatfest with it being called the "Grand festival". For this, it seems all three idol groups are against each other taking one option each. The question being asked for this is "Which is the most important to you?". The three options are past (Squid Sisters), present (Off the Hook), or future (Deep Cut). The Splatfest will be available for 72 hours rather than the usual 48. It will start Friday the 13th of September @ 01:00 am until Monday the 16th of September @ 00:59 am . We don't know much about the fest itself but it's safe to assume it will have all the same things as a special Splatfest and more. [News] New "Hype trailer" for Summer Game Fest goes live

Summer Game Fest gets new video source : twitter.com/summergamefest Summer Game Fest hosted by Geoff Keighley will be live this Thursday, June 8th as announced a few days ago. The event will be streamed everywhere @ 3pm ET / Noon PT / 9pm CEST. Currently, other than a showing for the recently revealed Mortal Kombat remake, there are no details as to what to expect from the show. However, in a follow up tweet to the video post, Geoff states we will find out soon. In that same reply he also says what you see in the video is not indicative of what we will or won't see. So it serves as just a little mind refresher for some of the new games this year. [News] Another game comes to Nintendo Switch Online!

Another game is now available for Nintendo Switch Online members source: twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has announced that another game is coming to Nintendo Switch Online. This includes 1 GBA game. The GBA game included in this update is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. The GBA app does require the expansion pass tier so if you have it you can enjoy this game. This game will be available from August 9th. For more information on the game click this link: Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team I haven't played Red Rescue Team, but I have played Blue Rescue Team and loved it. They are essentially the same game just Blue Rescue Team was on the DS. Both aren't coming together as we sadly don't have a DS app. I hope people who have the expansion take the time to try this, as the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games, while a bit repetitive in gameplay, bring a lot more interesting narratives than mainline Pokemon games.
