[News] Sony Announces A State Of Play!

Sony have just announced a new showcase  source:  twitter.com/PlayStation Over on Twitter, PlayStation have just announced a new state of play is coming tomorrow, May 30th. This state of play starts @ 11pm BST. It will be roughly 30 minutes long. Sony have said we can expect to see updates on 14 PS5 and PS VR2 titles. Other than Silent Hill 2 and a possible Wolverine, I'm not sure exactly sure what we could see here. PlayStation is quite dry on the upcoming releases so hopefully this can fix that. There have been recent rumours of a new Astrobot game and I would be very happy for that to be announced during the show. Remakes for two Resident Evil games have also been rumoured and I would equally like to see these here. I guess we will have to wait and see what PlayStation have been cooking up for us. That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[News] The Great Deku Tree From The Legend Of Zelda Becomes LEGO!

LEGO Zelda is real and it looks great!   source:  www.lego.com Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo and LEGO have just officially announced another collab. This time it features The Legend of Zelda. The set is of the Great Deku Tree from both Breath of The Wild and Ocarina of Time as it's a 2-in-1 set, giving you the option to build the one you prefer. Pre order's are officially open now ahead of the release date on September 1st, with the set costing £259.99. source:  www.lego.com This is quite the expensive set. However, I can see it being worth it for huge fans of both Zelda and LEGO. I am personally not going to buy this but I am really happy this is even happening. It would have been nice to see something like this when I was younger though. Hopefully there are more Zelda sets in the future that are more affordable. If you would like to look more into the set and/or pre order it, you can go here . That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[Guide] Where To Pre-Order Luigi's Mansion 2 HD (UK)

With exactly a month left before release, let's look at the best places to pre order the game  Source:  www.shopto.net ShopTo source:  www.shopto.net ShopTo offers the game for the lowest price. You can get it further down to £39.04 with a gold membership too. A poster comes with the ShopTo pre order. Amazon actually offers something very similar and it's only a small price difference of 14p (£39.99) compared to the normal ShopTo price (£39.85). So you can really go with either here. GAME source: www.game.co.uk While GAME offers Luigi's Mansion 2 HD for £44.99, which is a decent amount more, you can get a different pre order item than the poster of the others. It's a bit more of an interesting item, being a phone ring. The Nintendo Store offer this same item too with their pre order, though there pre order costs £50 which is another £5 added on.   Conclusion That's the best places to pre order this game covered, but there are many other options you can take....

[Thoughts] Super Monkey Ball Stage Environments Are Awesome.... And Weird (1)

The backgrounds of monkey ball have always been a standout thing for me source: www.youtube.com/@xbox With a new monkey ball game coming up, I wanted to talk a little bit about something that I really liked about the series, the environments . With how the gameplay looks of the new one, it seems like we will be getting some more fun and unique backgrounds. When I was younger I didn't appreciate the environments  of monkey ball stages much, but as I have grown older I have been able to recognise how interesting and cool they are. In this blog I am going to highlight some of the environments I find to be the most interesting in the series. I will be picking 2 environments from each game I have played. This Blog will feature Super Monkey Ball and Super Monkey Ball 2. Super Monkey Ball The stages I chose for Super Monkey Ball are labelled as "Monkey mall" and "Storm". These are for sure my favourites from this game.  Source: www.youtube.com/@GoldCobra111 Monkey mall...

[News] Splatfest Now On! (May 2024)

Pick your team and splat it out!  Source: twitter.com/SplatoonNA Another Splatfest is upon us. This Splatfest, about what you would do at world's end, was first announced on May 2nd on X (Twitter). As a reminder the choices for this Splatfest are, same ol' (Shiver), bucket list (Frye) and save the day (Big Man). As usual, this event runs for two full days (May 18th @ 00:00 - May 20th @ 23:59), with the tri colour battles starting on the second day. source: twitter.com/OatmealDome The tri-colour stage this time is Robo ROM-en. The layout for it seems quite good. It's like the normal turf stage but with the added defender spawns. The stage was already good as is, so it's no surprise they didn't change it much. I think this will work really well for tri colour stage and could be one of the best yet. We'll see how good it truly is when we can start playing on it. From looking at polls on X (Twitter) and YouTube, there doesn't seem to be much of a clear winner fo...

[News] Sizzle Season 2024 Inkoming!

The latest Splatoon 3 season is coming soon!  source:  twitter.com/NintendoUK Nintendo  has just  uploaded  a new video, on YouTube, showcasing what's in store for the latest  seasonal  update. This season, that starts June 1st , seems to have some awesome looking additions . Of course, there is also the standard stuff they don't really show off in trailers anymore like table turf cards and a new catalogue but those are a given. Here is what we see from the trailer: - 1 New Stage (Lemuria Hub) - 2 New Main Weapons (Wellstring V & Mint Decavitator) - New Weapon Kits  - New Gear Pieces  - New Music (The music we hear in the trailer plus more?) - Special Big Run (BIG Big Run) This update seems like the smallest yet but has some cool things in it. The new stage looks pretty good. It has quite a few gimmicks present to make it stand out. The two new weapons are the absolute stand outs for this season though. Both of them seem really aweso...

[News] Three More Games Have Been Added To Nintendo Switch Online!

More games are now available for Nintendo Switch Online owners   source:  twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo have announced that  three more games are coming to Nintendo Switch Online. These games are Gameboy games, so you do not need to have the Nintendo Online Expansion Pack. The games included in this update are Super Mario Land, Baseball and Alleyway. The games are available as of this post. For more information on each game click these links: Super Mario Land Baseball Alleyway It's great to see Super Mario Land finally come to this service. I will be playing that one for sure. Baseball is just the same as the NES version and I have already played that one, in fact it's on the service too. I didn't really enjoy my time with it either. Finally, Alleyway reminds me of many games I used to play when I was younger. I might give it a go to feel some nostalgia for a bit. That's it for this blog, stay connected!

[Thoughts] The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom One Year Later

Tears of the kingdom celebrates it's first anniversary since the game came out today! source: twitter.com/NintendoUK The Legend of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom is now officially one year old. Time has flown by since it's release and it feels as if it was yesterday I was hyping up for the game. To celebrate this event Nintendo have released new official art on X (Twitter), which can be seen above. Since it's been out a year, I have been able to think more on the game. What do I think now? Has my opinion changed? Well I will go into that in this blog. Let's start off by saying I absolutely love this game and that has not changed. I would say it is probably still my favourite game of all time. However, the flaws have become more apparent over time.  Source: zeldawiki.wiki The first thing I want to talk about is the narrative. There are two things here to mention, firstly the fact you can get memories in any order can spoil the story. I thankfully didn't experience this ...

[News] Nintendo World Championships Game Announced!

Lots of fun packed in one! source:  https://twitter.com/NintendoAmerica Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo have just announced a new game. This game is a special celebratory game for the Nintendo World Championships. It will include 150+ challenges from a wide range of NES titles. This includes challenges for games such as Super Mario Bros 3, The Legend Of Zelda and Donkey Kong.  NintendoWorldChampionships: NES Edition  will be made available on July 18th. You will be able to get it physically or digitally. For a digital copy it will cost £25, there isn't a set price for the physical edition in the UK, though it is $50 in the US. So, we can expect a price around £45-50. This is fairly cool in my opinion. I love little challenges like these and a game full of them sounds like a fun time. There is online play too, which is great. However, the price is a bit high for what it is. I will most likely be getting this at some point, as a go to game when I need something to play with o...

[Review] Stellar Blade (PS5)

Mostly stellar, but not completely I have been following this game back when it was first labelled Project EVE. After a while I thought it wasn't ever going to release, I slightly lost hope. Though when it was shown in a state of play as the newly named Stellar Blade, my eyes lit up with joy. Not long after this it got it's release date of April 26th 2024, exclusively on PS5. Leading up to the release I played the demo several times as it already had me hooked. However, how did the full game fair? Well I have played it to completion once and started my new game plus run, so I feel I am now able to give my full opinion on the game. ~ Positives ~ Satisfying combat -  The combat for this game is really shines bright. The combat is all about reaction, whether it's parrying an incoming attack or dodging away to avoid an unblockable hit. You are constantly engaged and on your toes during these fights. When fighting you have access to a range of combos using the strong and light a...

[News] Latest Splatfest Announced!

Nintendo have just announced the latest Splatfest!      source:  twitter.com/NintendoUK Over on X (Twitter), Nintendo has just posted the details of the next Splatfest for Splatoon 3. This time the question being asked is "Which would you do at world's end?". The three options being, Same ol' (Shiver), bucket list (Frye) or save the day (Big man). The Splatfest will be available from  Saturday the 18th of May @ 1 am until Monday the 20th of May @ 12:59 am .  This is quite the interesting and deep question for a Splatfest. This one again is up to personal preference, though I can see saving the day leading even if just by a little. I feel in a real world ending situation that is what many would try doing. The same ol' is for more content people while the bucket list is kind of in the middle. I will most likely be picking save the day for this Splatfest. That's it for this blog, stay connected!
