[News] More information for the Nintendo World Championships arrives!


Get ready for some awesome competitive action

Over on X, Nintendo have just made a post about the Nintendo World Championships. This post has given us all the information we need to know about the event. We now know the times for the different events.

Here is when you can tune in:

Saturday April 13th

  • 06:00am (UK time): Splatoon 3 World Championship 2024, finals day one

Sunday April 14th

  • 03:00am (UK time): Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championship 2024, finals
  • 06:00am (UK time): Splatoon 3 World Championship 2024, finals day two

You will be able to watch this event on Nintendo of Americas official YouTube channel. Which you can jump to with this link.

It is starting at a very early time for the UK but that's to be excepted. I am quite excited for this myself, especially the Splatoon parts. I am rooting for the European team all the way (KaiZer), I would love to see them win the world championship. There is some very tough competition though so who knows who will win. No matter who does though, it will be a fun time for everyone.

[Thoughts] Will Tears of the Kingdom have DLC?

  DLC for Tears of the kingdom could happen but I don't think it's likely Source: Author's edit I want to start off by saying I do not think this game needs DLC at all, though it would be welcome. Breath of the Wild had an expansion pass with 3 waves of content. Looking at the contents of that could give us an idea about what a Tears of the Kingdom expansion pass could look like. The first wave (Expansion pass purchase bonus) was available at the games launch and included the following: - 3 new treasure chests This was a very small wave featuring 3 chests of goodies. The biggest thing from this was a Nintendo Switch shirt link could wear. It was a nice little extra to start the game off with but definitely not the defining content of the pass. Moving on, The second wave (DLC pack 1) offered a lot more in terms of content, with it offering these following things: - Trail of the Sword - Master mode - Heroes path mode.  This wave offered many things to test the players skill...
